Celebrate Halloween at the Irish Cultural Center! Stop by on Saturday, October 26 from 1–3:30 pm for a fun, free, family-friendly open house.

Costumes are encouraged! We will have fun activities and treats all afternoon, with supervised Halloween craft projects and games. Hear stories, learn Irish words, and explore the origins of Samhain. Plus, there will be apple cider and Halloween treats.

Our featured guest will be award winning Irish author Ellen Ryan, joining us from 1:30–3 pm. Ellen has a a passion for Irish myth, and will share spooky stories and quizzes about Samhain and Irish gods.

Ellen Ryan is a journalist and contributor to the Irish Times and Irish Independent. She is an award winning and bestselling author of Gods Don’t Cry: Unsung Stories of Ireland’s Forgotten Immortals and Girls Who Slay Monsters: Daring Tales of Ireland’s Forgotten Goddesses. Ellen has a passion for Irish myth and loves to visit archaeological sites (though she always brings a raincoat). Along with her husband and daughter, Ellen is lucky to live by the sea in Co. Wicklow, where she can keep an eye out for sea gods.

We will have supervised Halloween craft projects and games. Plus, there will be apple cider and Halloween treats for the kids.

Irish Halloween

Celebrate Irish Halloween at the Irish Cultural Center! Stop by on Saturday, October 30 from 12–3 pm for a fun, free family-friendly event celebrating Samhain (Halloween) in the outdoor patio tent.

Costumes are encouraged! We will have stories and treats all afternoon. Irish Fulbright teacher Réaltín McElhinney will be telling the story of Samhain. Plus, there will be apple pie, cider, cocoa and Halloween treats for the kids.

Social distancing and masks encouraged outside. Masks must be worn when entering the building for restrooms.
