Dr. Mary C. Kelly, our featured speaker, will present "Empowering Exile: Irish-American Intellectual Culture from the Great Famine to the 1916 Rising." Dr. Kelly will explore key aspects of the Irish-American nationalist tradition between the Famine and 1916. She is Professor of History at Franklin Pierce University, NH, where she has taught for almost two decades. Her latest book is Ireland’s Great Famine in Irish American History: Enshrining a Fateful Memory.
