Springfield Rugby Club

Springfield Rugby ClubSince 1969, the Springfield Rugby Club has fielded a men’s team to the sport of rugby. The Springfield Rifles are one of the country’s oldest clubs with a strong reputation within New England. In 2007, the Rifles expanded the club by forming a women’s team. The Rifles now have a home field at the Irish Cultural Center of Western New England, with quality facilities in which to play rugby, celebrate and meet up with their family and fans. 

The Irish Cultural Center of Western New England is an affiliated partner, formally joining together in helping to advance the Springfield Rugby Club’s efforts to stabilize, prosper and grow a mutually beneficial relationship.

West Springfield Youth Soccer Club

West Side Soccer

The WSYSC is a non-profit organization run by an all volunteer staff that offers an opportunity for competitive soccer for the youth of West Springfield, MA. The primary league they play in is the Roots Soccer League out of Westfield, MA, which has competitive league play in both the Fall and Spring seasons. They serve approximately 250–300 youth players in West Springfield between the ages of 7 and 14, and is one of the six largest soccer clubs in all of Western MA. The Irish Cultural Center field is one of the locations where the WSYSC plays.
