Join us at the ICC on Thursday, March 28 at 6:00 pm for a Paint & Sip event. Paint along with artist Joan Nelson and create your own masterpiece! She will lead you step by step, with all the materials provided, in a fun and no pressure evening of painting a beautiful scene of Kilmalkedar Church (Cill Mhaoilcéadair) on the Dingle Peninsula.

Joan Nelson is a self-taught artist from Western Massachusetts who has always had a love of painting and drawing. Working primarily in Egg Tempera and Acrylic, she also loves to explore new media and will use whatever works best with a given subject. She has won numerous awards, and currently works and teaches at her studio at Indian Orchard Mills.

Paint & Sip

The Irish Cultural Center has linked up with Irish historian, Sean Murphy, to introduce our community to live, weekly online Irish history courses. Sean presents two monthly topics, divided into four-week modules. Courses are presented on Zoom. Each student will receive an electronic copy of each presentation.

The first topic is a general history of Ireland from ancient times to the present day. The course module for March 2024 is The Tudor Conquest of Ireland. Takes place on Thursdays, March 7, 14, 21 & 28 from 7:30–9:00 pm. Download course flyer >

Sean Murphy was born in Dublin and came to live on Cape Cod in 2005. He has a passion for his homeland and loves to share his knowledge and interest about his heritage through classes, workshops and conversation. He is a teacher of Irish history, music, and dance.

Guinness Six Nations Rugby is back at the Trinity Pub! The Springfield Rifles Rugby Club and the ICC continue our tradition of hosting viewing parties for select matches during the tournament on our big screen tv. Late breaking news – the Trinity Pub will open very early on Saturday, February 24 for Ireland vs Wales live @ 9:15 am.

Join us in the ICC’s Trinity Pub for a weekly seisiún. This traditional Irish session features talented musicians led by Ellen Redman and guest hosts each week. Every Wednesday from 6:30–9:00 pm. It is an enjoyable, authentic Irish pub evening to spend with friends and family of all ages.
